New Sharing Policy - February 13th 2025

With The Sims Legacy edition coming about I have decided to revise my policy to be more clear. This policy applies to both my Sims 1 and Sims 2 content.

1. Please do not share my content or redistribute it without permission. While I do not have the resources to get an attorney, there are to reasons I ask people not to do this.
   • A few files (such as the bar drinks and spooky cashier clerks) already give permission to re-distribute with your own work if you use them. These still may be distributed along with your new work.
   • When people share things privately or bundled in packs they may not keep files up to date. My website always has the most up to date versions.
   • The downloads count is the only feedback I have. It's how I know what is popular. I don't often get comments. When things are passed around ad-hoc I have no idea how popular something is. Not only can this be demotivating, but sometimes I don't bother to share things if I don't feel they'll be popular.
2. Gifts to individuals may be shared per their directives.
3. Gifts to groups may be shared per the directive of the group admin, manager, leader &c.

If you would like to share something that does not already say it is shareable, just ask and tell me what you're doing with it. My contact information is on the side.

I do not want to have to start locking files behind individual user accounts and banning people who get caught sharing. If this happens there will be a $2 registration fee per user.
